GIS Mapping

Data gaps are a persistent roadblock to achieving the most pressing sustainable development aims. Without a clear picture of local needs and resources, it’s difficult to identify and implement the most impactful interventions. While satellite remote sensing offers valuable insights, its high cost ensures it remains beyond reach for many.

Smart Local Planning and Action Through Open Source Solutions

Our GIS solutions address this challenge, utilising open-source tools and community mapping resources to integrate crowd-sourced data – supplied by communities and actors on the ground, instead of sensors overhead.

Expanding Access to Clarity on the Ground

Partnering with mapping and urban planning experts, we have developed WOODY – a web-based GIS tool specifically designed to support planning efforts in vital public sectors such as transportation and healthcare.

Building upon the CoSI (Cockpit Social Infrastructure) framework developed by the Hafen City University, in partnership with UNITAC, WOODY enables teams to identify and analyse alternative planning scenarios.

Visualise local needs and challenges: Combine and spatially visualise openly available data and local data directly from communities

Gain deeper spatial insights: Analyse data to prioritise interventions and optimise resource allocation.

Make evidence-based decisions: Inform decision-making with high-quality, spatially explicit data.
