Data Use & Practices

Many in the public and sustainable development sectors face persistent challenges with data use and governance due to a lack of assigned roles, knowledge gaps and limited technical capacity. This leads to fragmented data ecosystems, ultimately hindering effective decisions, and reducing the impact of reform programmes.

What is our Data Launch Pad?

Through our Data Launch Pad toolkit, we equip public servants and civil society actors with the skills and resources to understand and use data, regardless of experience. A personalised needs assessment guarantees a tailored learning journey for organisations, with a rigorous monitoring system to provide insights into progress or persisting knowledge gaps.

We offer a suite of context-specific data services on training, co-creation of frameworks, workflow standardisation and technology assessments.

We provide a flexible, needs-based toolkit for public bodies and partners to:

  • Conduct data literacy and data management training
  • Develop procedures and reporting mechanisms
  • Design organisational structures for responsible use of data
  • Assess, select and deploy suitable technology
